A delegation led by the Chief Executive Officer and the President of the Sindh Bank Imran Samad visited the University of Karachi on Monday and met the acting vice chancellor Professor Dr Nasira Khatoon at the VC Secretariat.
Sindh Bank delegation and the KU acting VC Professor Dr Nasira Khatoon, acting registrar Professor Dr Maqsood Ali Ansari, and the Director Finance Tariq Kaleem discussed various opportunities for students, faculty members, and employees of the varsity.

The Sindh Bank CEO Imran Samad informed the KU administration that the bank would soon announce the internship program for the students of different departments of the University of Karachi. He also shared that the bank would like to introduce different packages and proposals for the students and employees of the university so that they could get maximum benefits from Sindh Bank.
He shared that Sindh Bank has initiated the financial literacy program for students, faculty members, and employees of the University of Karachi, and the first session was held on Monday on the topic of cryptocurrency.

According to him, the financial literacy program aimed to provide basic understanding and information about the finance-related subject and hoped that it would benefit the students, faculty members, and employees a lot.
Meanwhile, the acting KU VC Professor Dr Nasira Khatoon appreciated the initiative of Sindh Bank and said that the public private partnership is the way forward and added that keeping the current scenario in mind, such a step would help in achieving the targets. She hoped that Sindh Bank and other institutions would join the KU and help in launching capacity-building projects for students, and employees.

The KU Students Advisor Dr Syed Asim Ali and Dr Salman Zubair were also present on this occasion.
Earlier, the Head of Treasury and Executive Vice President Rukhsana Narejo of Sindh Bank while addressing the seminar organized by the Civic and Social Responsibility Society of the University of Karachi and Sindh Bank on financial literacy for students and cryptocurrency shared that the digital currency has grabbed the attention across the globe and has gained legal status in some parts of the world whereas it is still ill-legal in most countries.
She informed the audience about how cryptocurrency works around the world and what kind of risk factor is involved while dealing with it in different countries. According to her, the digital currency has attracted a lot of investment, and its use is common in some countries but is still not considered the main option to do business.
