Islamabad: Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI) leader Latif Khosa has claimed that 278 party workers lost their lives during Tuesday's protest in Islamabad. The statement was made during an appearance on Geo News’ program Capital Talk.
When questioned by host Hamid Mir to name at least eight of the deceased, Khosa responded that the information was provided by the Advocate General of Khyber Pakhtunkhwa. Additionally, he alleged that 1,900 PTI workers were injured by gunfire during the protest on November 26.
These claims have sparked controversy, with demands for evidence to substantiate the figures. Khosa's remarks underline the ongoing tensions between PTI and authorities following the protest, which has been a focal point of political debate in the country.
