The United States has suspended $845 million in USAID-funded projects in Pakistan, impacting 39 initiatives across sectors such as healthcare, education, energy, governance, and agriculture. This freeze, driven by President Donald Trump’s “America First” policy aimed at redirecting funds domestically, has halted critical programs including the $86 million Integrated Health Systems Strengthening Initiative, the $150 million Mangla Dam Rehabilitation Project, and the $30.7 million Merit and Needs-Based Scholarship Program.
